Student Ambassadors For Education (SAFE)

Student Ambassadors For Education is a new program sponsored by C.H.I.L.D. and is being piloted this year (2015).  SAFE is a self-advocacy program that will focus on helping students with learning challenges to do the following:

  1. Learn more about their learning challenge
  2. Learn how to self-advocate in school so they can transfer those skills when they go onto college or any post-secondary experience they chose
  3. Network and find support with other students their age who also have learning challenges
  4. Learn from the Student Ambassadors how they have been successful in advocating for themselves in middle and high school
